David & Beth and Mary & Mary enjoyed a cruise ship shore excursion with a difference! We made the two hour drive south to join the Ida Bay Railway tour. We saw Rufous and Bennetts wallabies along the way and enjoyed the informative presentation given by our locomotive driver, Wayne, on the 2 hour return journey. We then headed back north stopping into Geeveston for lunch and a walk through the very interesting visitor centre. It was then onto The Wooden Boat Centre where David took a guided tour to learn a little about wooden boat building while the rest of us looked through the huon pine carvings on display. Then back to the Sea Princess in readiness for an early departure. Enjoy the rest of your cruise folks!
