Eva, May, Florrie & Ali enjoyed a week taking in many of Tasmania's major tourist attractions along with a few less known gems. On Day 1 we visited the World Heritage Port Arthur Historic Site and the areas natural geological formations. Day 2 was a circumnavigation of Maria Island with a shore visit to meet the resident wombats. Day 3 saw us visiting Richmond followed by a Hobart city tour, a drive to the summit of Mt Wellington, and a stop in at Ross on our way to Bicheno to see the little penguins. Day 4 began with the climb to the Wineglass Bay Lookout and visit to Cape Tourville. It continued with seafood for lunch at Freycinet Marine Farm followed by a visit to the Bay of Fires, at The Gardens, and onwards to Scottsdale. Day 5 included Bridestowe Lavender Farm, Beaconsfield, House of Anvers for lunch and chocolate tasting, the Tasmanian Arboretum at Eugenana, Ulverstone, Penguin for a photo with a giant penguin, Boat Harbour Beach, and Stanley. Day 6 saw us exploring The Nut before heading to Cradle Mountain to take on the Dove Lake Circuit walk. Day 7 included Sheffield, Allum Cliffs Walk at Mole Creek, Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary, 41 Degrees South Salmon and Ginseng Farm for late lunch and a walk to Montana Falls, Perth and Evandale. Day 8 and our last day together started with the Evandale Market followed by Cataract Gorge and City Park in Launceston before heading to the airport to end the tour.
