  • Your tour starts with a short scenic drive through the apple orchards and berry farms through historic New Norfolk and the Hop Fields at Busy Park.
  • We stop off at Possum Creek Art Gallery & Cafe for morning tea at quaint Westerway. If you are lucky you will spot a wild platypus.
  • Here we will pick up a salmon or chicken/veg wrap freshly made to take away with us for a picnic lunch along the journey or if the cafe is open at Pedder we can enjoy lunch there. (to be discussed on the day)
  • We then will make our way out to Gordon Dam driving through picturesque roads in view of often snow capped mountains in the background during the winter months. On your way you will experience some of the highlights of where parts of "The Hunter" was filmed. You will also enjoy your picnic lunch down by the lakeside at Lake Pedder
  • Walk on Gordon Dam (if you have the head for heights) and the political controversy of the flooding of Lake Pedder
  • To break up your journey back to Hobart we will call into Mt Field NP.
  • Here you can see the  beautiful 'Russell Falls, a short 10 minute walk. Along the way you will see some of the giant  Swamp Gums and  manferns that thrive in this very ancient rainforest.
  •   We will then make our way back to Hobart to your accommodation.
